Long Ridge Campground is a mountain retreat in Hiawassee, Georgia, offering RV sites, primitive tent camping, and cabin rentals in a wooded setting. Two creeks flow through the campground, adding a peaceful soundtrack to days spent relaxing outdoors. Downtown Hiawassee, Lake Chatuge, and the surrounding North Georgia mountains provide plenty of opportunities for sightseeing and recreation.
RV guests can choose full-hookup sites with water, sewer, and 30/50-amp electrical service, with pull-through options available. Water-and-electric sites offer another choice for travelers who do not need a sewer connection. Tent campers stay in designated primitive areas rather than the RV section. Guests planning longer visits can inquire about monthly, seasonal, and annual RV arrangements.
The campground features a catch-and-release fishing pond, a camp store, firewood sales, and a bathhouse with hot showers and flush toilets. Complimentary fiber-optic Wi-Fi is available around the campground, and campsite fire rings provide a place to gather after a day of exploring.
Travelers without an RV can reserve a mountain-view cabin. The cabins accommodate two adults and include a kitchen, private bathroom, air conditioning, and Wi-Fi. Guests must be at least 18, and pets are not permitted in the cabins.
Explore Lake Chatuge, Brasstown Bald, nearby waterfalls, local shops, and regional vineyards. Short-term camping operates from April through November; winter stays are limited to approved self-contained annual units while the bathhouse is winterized. Hiawassee, GA 30546
If your GPS does not recognize Jarrard Camp Road, the campground recommends using 707 Burch Branch Road, Hiawassee, GA 30546. The entrance includes a tight turn and an uphill gravel approach. Call ahead for assistance when needed.
